El metro es un gran medio de transporte y el de nuestra mega-orbe no es la excepción, ya que después del de Tokio, es el sistema de transporte que más gente mueve en el mundo. Sin embargo, viajando a diario en él, continuamente me encuentro con conductas que definitivamente no van de acuerdo con el civismo y la lógica, y que con pequeñas modificaciones en nuestras conductas podemos mejorar de gran manera el flujo de este medio. Orgulloso de esta magnifica obra de la ingeniería francesa, comparto este decálogo para una mejor experiencia en el subsuelo metropolitano del Distrito Federal.

Comprarás la tarjeta de plástico: Además de agilizar el proceso de entrada por los torniquetes, estarás ayudando a la madre naturaleza no utilizando boletos hechos de papel /carton.
Respetarás al metro-usuario del sexo opuesto: El hecho de que las mujeres y los niños viajen en vagones separados en horas pico se debe al instinto animal de algunos sujetos que creen que porque tienen manos, tienen derecho a tocar lo que no les es permitido. Hombres: autocontrol y evolución. Mujeres: Si esto les sucede, no duden en gritar con todas sus fuerzas y manifestar su disconformidad agresivamente; esto no puede pasar impune.
Optimicemos las escaleras eléctricas: Esto no es una ciencia compleja; en muchos países se maneja que los que quieran ir parados en las escaleras permanezcan por la derecha y los que quieran avanzar vayan por la izquierda. Lo creas o no, esto funciona muy bien y no representa un gran esfuerzo, es puro sentido común (de comunidad).
Optimicemos las subidas y bajadas en estaciones de alto tráfico: Tarde o temprano te subirás al metro, así que no compliques la situación más de lo que ya está. La materia no puede atravesar materia así que si estas parado en medio de la puerta, los que van a bajar chocarán contigo y se hará un desorden e incluso se corre el riesgo de un conato. Es muy sencillo, espera a un lado y deja que bajen todos los que tienen que bajar; esto facilitará tu ingreso y te ahorrará la energía que aplicas en forzar tu entrada de manera estúpida y violenta.
No robarás: Ni en el metro ni donde sea, robar es una mierda, pero en el metro esto es una máxima que tiene un peso específico.
Leerás: El leer te ayuda a estructurar el pensamiento, ya que lo haces de manera lineal y sigues un argumento estructurado. Lo que elijas leer es es tu problema, pero ampliamente te recomiendo evitar la literatura amarillista, que no tiene ni pies ni cabeza y solamente enajena mentes. A las autoridades: ¿Qué pasó con el programa “para leer de boleto en el metro”? Una grandísima idea en el olvido.
Cooperarás con la gente del subsuelo: No todos tenemos la misma suerte y sea por la razón que sea, en nuestro metro tenemos una enorme cantidad de gente que vende cosas o pide ayuda económica. Podemos decir que el dar dinero es contraproducente, pero mientras no los adoptemos, el aflojar unas monedas de vez en cuando no nos cuesta nada. A veces puedes encontrar productos muy buenos, como equipo para coser, lectura interesante, lámparas, plumas, etc, y a los que mendigan, pues tambien puedes abonar una sonrisa a la moneda, rara vez reciben una y soy testigo de que las aprecian.
Cederás el asiento al metro-usuario que más lo necesite: Si estás fuerte, sano y no estás cansado, no te cuesta nada ir de pie; sobre todo en horas de alto tráfico, en las cuales tarde o temprano se subirá alguien que necesite más el asiento.
Respetarás las instalaciones: Me vale madres si tienes una firma graffitera o si amas a fulana o a sutano; ¡No rayes el metro! Hay otras miles de formas de expresarse sin vandalizar. También evita tirar basura en las vías, ésta atrae ratas y enfermedades.
Conviértete en un metro usuario saludable: Al mismo tiempo de que ayudas al problema de las escaleras eléctricas, es una muy buena forma de activar el cuerpo y perder un poco de peso... ¡¡Sube y baja por las escaleras normales!! Que pena ser el país más marrano del mundo; menos gordos = menos calor + mayor espacio y comodidad.

I have to make clear that this clever analysis is not applicable to the whole English Language spectrum, it is limited to the one spoken in the United States. The English spoken in the UK may have other issues, but certainly, the general population has a lot more vocabulary than the people in the US. There is a similar phenomenon happening between the Spanish language spoken in Mexico, when compared to the one spoken in Spain. Fucking crutches only dum down any language. When someone uses the sentence "¿You know?" a lot, its a clear sign that he / she doesn't know a thing, as he / she cannot explain it properly. Thanx Mr. Ronnie Bruce.

I started reading the Foundation by middle February with no other preview than some Youtube videos of Asimov's speeches.

I don't really believe much in science fiction as a future vision; I rather see it a form of telling stories of what's already happened, but in a fantastic scenario.
Truth be told, the virtue of this novel lies in the fact that Asimov was a pioneer in letting go his imagination into galactic worlds and the origins of a universal empire (which is a little scary). But other than that, with all the respect for the great Isaac, he was telling nothing more than the story of this planet in a galactic context; and its only a story on economical and political bases. You can support this argument with Asimov's enthusiasm with nuclear power in the novel. Today we know that this technology is one of many other options in our social and technological postmodern environment, and that its usage might be more harmful than beneficial. Either ways, throughout the story, the author constantly cheers for this source of energy and the majority of his fantastic futuristic gadgets are nuclear powered.

Asimov's point of view is the one of a pure rationalist, because, as you can read along in the foundation, there are no feelings evoked by the main characters. The only people that show emotions in the foundation are the ones that play a secondary roll. The three protagonists: Hari Seldon, Salvor Hardin and Hober Mallow are all knowing, cold blooded and always prepared for everything characters.

These men are under control all the time and nothing ever seems to bother them at all. They have an answer for everything and they are never caught of guard, because somehow, they can foresee any situation. As ridiculous as it may appear, they are the rationalist's fantasy.

The plot is the next: The galactic empire is falling and the only one who knows it is Hari Seldon, the last and greatest of the psycho-historians. Because of this, he sets to create a foundation, so that after the fall of the empire, the chaotic period of the galaxy would be reduced from 30,000 years to a scarce 1,000.

In its context, Psycho-history is a science focused on the analysis and foresight of human history and destiny, based in historic and social psychology related data.

Long story short, The Foundation was supposedly created to write a huge encyclopedia with all of the human knowledge gotten through the ages. This turned out to be just a pretext for founding a society around which the new empire would emerge. This society would grow in the galaxy through three stages of social control:
Knowledge: As established by Hari Seldon
Religion: As established by Salvor Hardin
Trade: As established by Mallow

The first founders (the encyclopedists) were threatened by the barbarian societies around them, which the foundation controlled by providing their technology equally to all of them. That way, the surrounding menace dissipated, as the source of knowledge for the developing societies couldn't be destroyed. No barbarian could attack the foundation without other barbarians stepping up to defend it.

The second stage took effect as a result of how the Foundation passed on the technology they had. They gave it religiously, meaning that they didn't pass any of their knowledge, but just the tools for the advantage of the ruling class of each barbarian society. When the ruling class tried to rebel against the foundation, they were removed from the technology, causing their loss of power over the masses, which was transfered to the priests of the foundation.

After the religious source of control was all used up, the foundation had more and more trouble of getting inside new societies, which rejected the foundation theology. This was changed by Hober Mallow and his trading abilities. When introducing technology, independently of any speech by which you might defend it, it is necessary to know how it works. This is where the foundation and Mallow based its third movement. Apparently they gave away technology in exchange of nothing but raw material. The foundation was very aware that the people they were trading with knew nothing of the technology they were working with. When you don't know how something is done, you cannot repair it. Technological devices are not forever and need repairs; when the foundation became the only repairer of their products, which had become a necessity overtime, It gained total control.

This is where we are now in our own world, in the trade era.
We've been through the religious stage and not far from now, the next paradigm shift will happen.

How and when? Its irrelevant.

The only thing I know is that since long ago now, not only the material world has had economic value, but the abstract world of ideas is being priced more and more accurately.

I guess this is the next thing: The media era, where more than having shit to brag about, the most priced thing will be the connection with a source of knowledge, entertainment and communications. This is called the Internet and its been around just for 30 years, but believe you me, is moving faster than any religion or trade mechanism ever made.

Humanity is segregating more and more, but not by race nor nationality, but by information consumption. With more discoveries and tendencies uncovered, more diverse knowledge is generating constantly.

The thing is that from all this millions and billions and gazillions of roads to choose, you can always walk back to the source, which is not economic, nor social, nor technological, nor philosophical, nor religious, nor mathematical; or it is all... it just is... forever... since ever.

Sobre la psicomagia

El poder de los actos y la fuerza de la conciencia; con estas palabras puedo resumir la Psicomagia de Jodorowsky, quien además tiene unas visiones de la realidad bastante interesantes.

Combinando en su mente religiones, formas de pensamiento, inconcientes colectivos y diversos símbolos, de la mano Tarot, Jodorowsky ha planteado argumentos que serán recordado por muchos años. Por momentos contradictorio (pero creo que es parte de su psicología), Jodorowsky afirma que no cree en Dios, sino que lo conoce, argumentando que nosotros somos una parte de Todo y Todo tiene una parte en nosotros. Por mi parte, creo que no se trata de conocer a Dios, sino de reconocerlo, ya que de el venimos. Está en todas las cosas y en la nada; en lo bueno y lo malo; en la luz y la oscuridad; en nosotros mismos y en los demás...

La Creación es la idea central de Alejandro Jodorowsky: creación científica, genética, artística y la que más nos importa, la creación cotidiana. Diariamente tenemos la oportunidad de crear, de mejorar, de ayudar, de pensar... ¡De sentir!

Cuando Alejandro se refiere a la liberación de la mente, me da a entender la elección de una forma de vida consciente. Al ser conscientes sobre lo que nos rodea, tenemos más opciones que elegir y por tanto más libertad. Pero como con todo poder, la mayor libertad consciente implica mayor responsabilidad actual. Siendo concientes, no podemos justificar la estupidez de nuestros actos y, por lo tanto, nos hacemos responsables sobre nuestro destino.

Con esto no quiero decir que al ser conscientes seamos perfectos; al contrario, la conciencia nos reafirma que podemos fallar como humanos y que, al no ser perfectos, podemos mantener el ideal de perfección y buscarlo intuitivamente. Sin embargo, por sobre la perfección, la búsqueda más importante para todo individuo es la búsqueda interior, la introspectiva, es decir, ir al encuentro con nuestros ángeles y demonios y confrontarlos, para así aprender y crecer espiritualmente.

Antes que buscar razones o culpas en los demás, el primer paso es el reconocimiento propio, lo cual te lleva a la depuración y mejora del ser. Después viene el paso al acto y se hace relevante la máxima: "predica con el ejemplo". De nada sirven las palabras si no están sustentadas por una acción que las respalde.

¡Es como todo!

Since I was a kid, I used to see animalistic features in the people around me. I would imagine myself as some animal that I was interested in at the moment; if it was a shark book or video I was watching, I acted like so and bit everybody that came into my way; same thing with the lion or the tiger. Other times I pretended to be a monkey, or a bear, or an eagle and so on. Wether I was alone or with friends, I loved to imagine myself as other than a human being, sensing that it would be definitely possible to become my favourite animal magically.
As I said first, I also used to see people as animals... not in the sense that you are imagining now, but in the sense that people have features and attitudes that resemble those of some elements from the animal kingdom.
Now that I am conscious and a little out of my mind, I think that humans are more of a stage of evolution rather than a specie. Orthodox religious people, specially the christians, believe that humans are everything and that earth has been alive as long as humans have existed. I believe so but in a completely different way as they do. They imagine human beings have been like we see each other nowadays since the beginning, and I quote a wanker I saw in the Borat movie: "I do not descend from a goddamn monkey!" Sad news for you mate, not only we've been monkeys, but many other sorts of animals.
¿Do you see where I'm going with this?
Haven't you ever noticed that some people are more predatious than other and viceversa? Don't you have a friend that you've nicknamed because he/she looks like a bird, rat, monkey or something else? Yeah, we've been around earth since the beginning, but only today and in the recent past that we have this human form and this human skills.
Because you see, by reading this book written by Michael Crichton called "Next", I realized that there is this term spread throughout the bio-genetic world called Chimera. This term refers to people that have more than one DNA line in their bodies. These people may carry some sort of DNA in the tissue of a specific organ and another sort of DNA some place else within them.
Human beings are a natural conjunction of various organisms that have inhabited the earth since very long. There are predators and there are preys, but you can switch from being one or the other in any given moment. It depends on the animal that is operating in you at that moment.
So you see... humaness is only a stage of evolution. You might descend from a long long line of predators or a long long line of preys. You might have large hervibore features, combined with a lion instinct and reptile reasoning; or a killer tiger appearance, with a reindeer attitude and rodent customs. The first would have strong features, keen eyes and very little concience, as the second would be a hot, shy and jumpy person.
This is just a theory... an idea... don't take it too seriously, but its a good start to understand some shit... hehehehe

Badbirulao es una palabra nacida en el pueblo costeño de Chacahua, Oaxaca, México en 1998. Su etimología recae en una variante extraña de la palabra Aborigen Australiana Didgeridoo, debido al consumo excesivo de estupefacientes, tanto legales como ilegales (según las leyes Mexicanas).

Badbirulao has its origins in the coastal town of Chacahua, Oaxaca, Mexico in the year 1998. It's etimology falls into a weird variant of the Australian Aboriginal word Didgeridoo, in account of an excesive usage of licit and illicit drugs (according to the Mexican Law)
